Glass facade for stairwell / elevator shaft
This apartment complex was designed by Maarten Evelein in the eighties and was such an innovative living concept that the project was an entry for the Prix de Rome. In 2020 it is due for major maintenance. Wim Lindenbergh of Studio Y is responsible for the design of the elevator shafts / stairwells, which was realized in close consultation with Evelein. The connection between elevator shaft and staircase with the living environment is subtly emphasized by, among other things, the light gray horizontal frame elements in the glass section adjacent to the gallery: floor height, connection and human dimension are included in this.
Roof terraces again safe to walk on and waterproof
Gallery New Clingendael 1 The Nieuw Clingendael apartment complex is located in the quiet Benoordenhout district, adjacent to Wassenaar. Leaks arose at the roof terraces of the complex, which owes its name to the beautiful green Clingendael. In addition, the balconies were very outdated and polluted by external influences.
Largest green facade in Europe On the facade of the new European distribution center opened in 2016 in the Belgian municipality of Laakdal, of the world’s largest manufacturer of sports shoes, the largest green facade in Europe is growing.
